Posted on April 22, 2017 at 10:48 pm

With the Nintendo Switch recently coming back into stock in stores, more and more people are getting there hands on the flagship console. Alongside all these new consoles are the release of various Nintendo Switch peripherals and accessories. Some are good and some completely change the way the console can be used, here are a few of them.

Nintendo Switch Pro Controller

The pro controller allows transforms the Switch into a true home system. The controller is a dual-stick, wireless controller and gives the player the ability to sit back on a sofa and experience the console the traditional way.

Screen Protectors

The first screen protectors that were available from retailers sold out fast, and for good reason. With the Switch being a handheld system, along with how it’s dock works, the risk of scratches to the screen are high. A screen protector negates this risk and is strongly recommended for all Switch users.

The Best MOBAs Out Now

Posted on January 31, 2017 at 9:34 pm

MOBAs, or Multiplayer Online Battle Arenas, have swept through the gaming world with a force that has hit gamers like a storm. Which is fitting, as that’s what it feels like to play a good MOBA. So which ones are the best at the moment, and worthy of the fight they demand?

Dota 2

Dota 2 still reigns supreme. With the big changes that have come of it’s latest overhaul ‘7.00’ and the Dark Moon event in full swing, now might just be the time to defend the ancients in Valves cultural internet phenomenon.

Fractured Space

This game has recently had some big changes implemented too. With the addition of crew slots and upgrades. Join 5 other players and go against each other in great capital ship combat.

Gigantic

This has just had an intriguing open beta and has certainly hooked some new players. It has lush Wind Waker graphics and is designed to be played with either a controller or mouse and keyboard. The game flows really well and is worth trying out, especially if you like boss fights in your MOBAs.

Getting Hold Of Gamecube Games

Posted on December 29, 2016 at 10:03 pm

The Nintendo Gamecube is a favourite among collectors. With its unique miniDVD discs and a large selection of quality games, it’s an enjoyable console to use and play. However, because of its classic status, its games are quite difficult to come by.

You can often find decent prices for Gamecube games on Ebay. Ebay is often considered more reliable than other popular sites such as Amazon, this is mainly because of their more detailed descriptions and photos. There are some other smaller websites such as Estarland, which is highly rated due to their reputation and a wide variety of high-quality games. However, Estarland’s prices tend to be high in comparison to other websites because of these high points.

Also be sure to check if there is a Disc Replay store anywhere near you as they often have a few Gamecube games lying around. Otherwise, there are always garage sales and flea markets.

PS3 Classics – Ni no Kuni

Posted on November 15, 2016 at 9:09 pm

Ni no Kuni entered the gaming sphere surrounded with an aura of hype. A Studio Ghibli game? That idea alone was enough to warrant the anticipation. While the game itself didn’t quite carry with it the grandeur of a classic Studio Gibli film, it did bring with it some of that Ghibli magic with an interesting collect ’em all style creature system.

The charming Ni no Kuni is described by some as Chrono Trigger crossed with Pokemon, all wrapped up in the Studio Ghibli style. A style which wasn’t copied entirely either, Studio Ghibli actually worked on the game’s animation themselves.

The story revolves around a boy named Oliver, who sets out to become a wizard in the hopes of toppling evil and saving his recently departed mother. The timeless world is rich and inventive whether talking scenarios, enemies, characters, or the surrounding locales and the heartfelt themes and motifs make up for troublesome levelling mechanics.
